Conservatism and patriotism are two huge and essential values that have been closely associated with America since the beginning. However, in recent years, there has been a growing sentiment that these values are outdated or no longer needed or relevant. Some argue that conservativism is to rigid and inflexible, while others believe that patriotism has been misused and used to cause harmful policies and actions. Despite these criticisms, we at ACT Right Of NC believe that conservatism and patriotism are very much still essential values needed in the United States. In fact, we would argue that they are more needed now and are more important than ever before.
Conservativism at its core, is about preserving the traditions, institutions, and values that have made our country great. This means being cautious about change and skeptical of grand schemes to overhaul our society or America’s value system. It means more emphasis is given too valuing individual freedom, limited government, and the rule of law and extra caution is given in protecting these areas.
In today’s rapidly changing world, these principles are more important then ever. We live in an age of constant disruption, where new technologies, crazy social movements and global forces are reshaping our lives at a crazy pace. In this context, conservatism provides a stabilizing force, helping us to avoid the pitfalls of excessive radicalism and ensuring that we don’t lose sight of the things that really matter. Conservativism also has an important role to play in economic policy. In recent years, there has been a growing trend towards socialism and government intervention in the economy. While some of these policies may seem to some as well-intentioned, they often have horrible unintended consequences that harm the very people they are proposed to help. When actually, in the end, are doing the very opposite. Conservative economic policies, by contrast, are focused on promoting economic growth and creating real opportunities for all Americans. This means reducing regulations that stifle innovations and entrepreneurship, lowering taxes on businesses and individuals, and promoting free trade and competition. The result of these embracing these principles, we can create a thriving economy that benefits everyone.
Now let’s turn to patriotism. At its core, patriotism is about love of one’s country and a willingness to defend it against all enemies, foreign and domestic. This means honoring our flag, our Constitution, and our founding principles and values. It means supporting our military and our law enforcement officers. And it means being proud of our achievements as a nation, while acknowledging our shortcomings and always striving to do better. That concept is what makes America different, amazing, and why it is called the shining beacon of freedom.
In recent years, patriotism has come under attack from those who falsely believe that America is irredeemably flawed and that our history is nothing but a story of oppression and injustice. Nothing could be more untrue. Yes, we have made mistakes as a nation, which one hasn’t? Yet it is also true and important to acknowledge that we have accomplished more incredible things and offer more freedom than any other country on earth or for that matter in human history. We have fought for freedom and democracy around the world. As well as making great strides in science, technology, medicine, and countless other areas. By embracing patriotism, we can tap into this legacy of achievement and build a better future for all Americans. Using Conservatism and patriotism to guide us we can work to solve the challenges that face our great country. And we can do so with a sense of pride and purpose that comes from knowing that we are part of something bigger than ourselves …American exceptionalism.
In conclusion, conservativism and patriotism are two values that are essential for the United States to continue. They along with God’s divine leadership and grace provide a stabilizing force in this crazy backwards world of rapid change that promote economic growth, provide opportunity, and inspire us all to work hard together for a better future. As we face these challenges, let us not forget the values, principles, and especially the hardships, mistakes, and sacrifices that have made this country great. Let us embrace God, conservativism, and patriotism, and build a brighter tomorrow not only for ourselves but for generations to come. We must all do our part and not stay silent, we must ALL Make America Great Again & Again.
